Hey Vision Families,
I wanted to take a moment to address our current status as a club and volleyball community during this volatile period of time. That being said, I have been quiet for the last few days as I have been trying to make some sense of what is happening and what is our responsibility at Vision Volleyball club.
Of Course, I really desire to find some way to get our athletes together in the gym. I don’t want to miss practices, lessons, or tournament as each of our teams we’re making such great progress.
However, after talking with several people within the medical community, also many within the volleyball community and the fact that USAV has now mandated no lessons, clinics, practices or events until March 31 and has suspended our insurance coverage until that same date; Vision cannot offer any organized training, conditioning or even pickup games. We want to be responsible and submit to the Social Distancing recommended.
Moving forward we will do everything in our power to offer additional options for the athletes to compete. Over the next few weeks, it will become more clear about what tournaments, and additional options that will be made available. As we receive any new information we will pass that along to you.
For now, In order to keep our athletes active and engaged, we will be sending some videos, drills, or conditioning options and encouraging them to keep working!
We appreciate each of you and are thankful for such a wonderful, flexible, committed group of families.
We will get through this together and offer as many options to our teams as possible once the mandate is lifted.
There is a quote that states
“ you are defined by your actions, not by your Circumstances “.
Let’s use this time to care for
those that need additional assistance, act responsibly within the current guidelines and use our time wisely to continue to grow as athletes and individuals.
Blessings and safety to all of you and if we can help in any way please do not hesitate to ask!
